Description
WD-40 is a multi-use petroleum-based product designed primarily to displace moisture, prevent rust, and penetrate stuck mechanical parts.
- Displaces moisture: Originally created in 1953 as the “40th formula for water displacement” to protect aerospace equipment and nuclear missiles from corrosion.
- Penetrates stuck parts: Its low viscosity allows it to flow into tight threaded areas and loosen rusted nuts, bolts, and locks.
- Cleans and removes residue: It effectively dissolves stubborn adhesive tape, tar, sap, and grease from metal and tools.
- Protects metal against rust and corrosion
- Leaves a protective film of lubricant
- Smart Straw/Spray option allows use as either a normal spray or precision stream
